Ok, I got everything hooked up and powered on without the hd being installed.
It is saying reboot and select proper boot device

Do you have another hard drive, or can you download a usb bootable version of linux to test it?

So I hooked it all up and turned it on.
I am getting the Reboot and select proper boot device or insert boot media in selected device press any key message

So if I hit the delete key it wont take me to the bios

Now the power button wont shut off the power

So the power button did work after multiple presses.
I can not get past the reboot message.
What have we learned?
Is the hd at fault?

Press and hold the power button, that should switch it off. Does the reset button work, or does it have one?

When you see the boot device request, you have already passed the bios.

I got it to power off.
Where would the reset button be located, I dont think Ive ever seen one on a computer.

Some don't have them. Is your BIOS del or F2 or F12? Should be pressing it on power up not after the select boot device.

If you have a USB linux you can test it, or in the BIOS run a memory diagnostic to load it some.

Usually a smaller button near the power button. I am not sure manufactured pcs always have them.

Do you have a known good hard drive to plug in?

Bios is supposed to be del but neither it nor f12 worked as I pressed both while powering on, not at the same.

Put the original hd back in and am now looking at the bios setup utility

Wow, this is pretty cool it shows the cpu temp and fan rpm plus a lot more.

So where do I go to check out the power supply while in this screen?

Not all bios will give you voltages. But if you are powering up with the old hard drive installed, what changed?

I havent the faintest idea as to what changed.
All I have done is remove the hd and plug in those other two hds and then put the original back in.
Is there any thing I can check while in this bios menu.
It is more extensive than the others I have been into.
