Male to Male Electrical connector

I am in need of a male to male connector. Can't find one. Thinking about making one. Anyone done this before? Is this a fire hazard?

Do you mean two female connectors wired together, or two males? Cause two male connectors leave exposed charged contacts.

Do you mean for line voltage? I don't see a reason to do so, as it can have live prongs exposed.

My guess is you're trying to patch a generator to your house, and there are safer, less dangerous ways to do so.

I'm assuming this is for the christmas lights that you strung with the wrong end the wrong way.

Take your losses, get that ladder back out and turn the string of lights around.

The problem with this approach is that when plugged in, the lights will go on, but you will have the male end floating about and that bare hot side of the plug could give someone a very bad, potentially lethal shock.

Sorry rwest, i missed " each end" still probably faster to just unwind the lights, or get an extension to plug it n normally

Here’s a little experiment with a double male �� �� plug.

meh, it's only 120vac, it'll give you a tickle and that's about it.........soda can is just a stunt.


The speaker is a fair test..........if the speaker is rated at 1200 watts, it won't fry......call line power just a 60 hz tone.
