I've bought more than one dinner in my life that didn't turn out the way I was hoping.

c'est la vie.

Wow, maybe you bought the wrong cars! Not counting my wife's cars, since 1974 I have had three cars total. I still own two of them. I have had my El Camino for 29 years and my 911 for 25. I still love them both and they are not for sale at any reasonable price.

Don't take this wrong but reading about your life in cars here could bore the balls off a brass monkey. :)

My controversial one: a 993. Hear me out before you throw heavy objects. *Prettiest 911 ever made*, but coming from a 911SC and costing me way more, I was let down by the return on my expenditure as it was basically identical inside, just a little faster with better AC. I felt like I was still in an old car, the smoothness of the engine was hiding its extra power. I loved looking at it, not so much being in it, it was softly sprung, too smooth, all the added doodads were a pain in the a$$ (immobilizer comes to mind) not what I expected at all. Ducking now ;-)

Not controversial at all, at least not to me. I've never really liked the 993, especially a stock base model, (narrow body). I don't like the interior or the exterior as much as other 911 models. I worked the Los Angeles Intl. Auto Show for Porsche in 1995 when it came out and I never fully liked it, other than appreciating the always forward moving evolution of the 911. We had one cut in half on display, that was kind of cool. Sliced right through the engine and trans, etc.

Agree with Denis, I’m not a fan of the 993 either...

I would say my BMW 1150GS, maybe I am just too tall and built odd, but that bike beat the crap out of me on the interstate. By the time I found a Givi windshield that helped I was over it.

We paid for my 27 year old daughter's wedding last October to what we thought was a decent guy. He turned out to be extremely lazy, lying, cheating, and bi-polar asshat. She just legally completed her dissolution from him, and he is out of her house (and hopefully our lives). I am really thankful that no children were conceived, but that also doesn't give me any grandkids to play with.

I wanted a cheese pablano torpedo from Taco Cabana after seeing the commercial but then I got one and was disappointed:)

E39 M5. Maybe it would have been ok if I hadn't had an e28 previously, but I found it too heavy, clunky, and prone to annoying convenience feature failures, like seat cables that would get out of sych and only move half of the seatback. The basic drivetrain was ok and fairly reliable, but the car as a whole felt more like an american muscle sedan than a sporting vehicle.

yep, bought the first Boxster delivered in the DC metro to a private party. Hugely disappointed with the design, fit and finish and most of all its slowness. Even got it in the release colors, silver with boxster red. Best I could do was through some aftermarket wheels that looked like the show car.

Sold a smokin 951 for that car. Huuuuuge, mistake

My dad had that same Kubota mower.. it was awesome. He also had that smaller of their large tractors, huge front bucket and snow blower.

I will not mention my thing I regret buying here ;)

I test drove one years ago and felt similarly. At the time I had an XJR and walked away actually preferring it.

When my 12 year old Saeco espresso machine exploded I bought this Gaggia.

http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1608147714.jpg

What a piece of crap. I gave it away and bought another Saeco. It's not as good as the old one, but better than the Gaggia.

Sea critters, you add water, and they turn into a city, but it looked nothing like the image on the comic page. X-ray specs also a big disapointment. Cmon Man, LOL.https://wvartist.files.wordpress.com...k-ad.jpg?w=655https://th.bing.com/th/id/OIP.QvT_C4...s?pid=Api&rs=1
