Dementia in its final stage, food intake decreases to zero causing organ failure. So dementia will be listed as primary cause of death with heart failure etc. will be listed secondary.

Or people with advanced Alzheimer’s become bedridden and unable to walk so bedsores and the resulting infections aren’t uncommon. Pretty awful. Friend of mine is a hospice nurse and I hear all kinds of unsavory things... lots of bad ways to go out there...

The sad part of Alzheimer's is that your mind just slowly dies in a body that otherwise would still have been good for more years. I hope it's the other way around for me.. Am currently taking care for my 83 year old aunt in the beginning of the more limiting stage of her Alzheimer's.. IT's a terrible disease. She still lives by herself, but every month we see a decrease in her memory. She now occasionally forgets her husband died 30 years ago, and calls in a panic "Andre hasn't coming home, you need to come help look for him". I go pick her up to come eat with me on Sundays.. from her kitchen to the door of my car she get's distracted, and starts tidying up something.. If they ever diagnose me with that, I'm ordering my doc to arrange euthanasia.. and if he won't , it'll be double barreled 12 gauge and a bit more of a mess. :( |
Top way humans die in the world is more like it. Greed kills off the poor man, its rampant in 3rd world countries, southern hemisphere it rampid. Bio weapons being unleashed. Pointless wars, food poisioning in some instances, rabbid mobs pushing usless agendas kill innocents. Political views clear out the innocent, the list goes on..Got God?
