Lost my buddy ...
 

My Syd was brave and tough, but he lost his fight to cancer yesterday morning. When we woke up he told us it was time to let him take his walk over the bridge. His condition went quickly downhill over the past two days. He just about lost all mobility in his legs from his mylopathy. This morning his breathing was extremely distressed. We fed him his favorite treats , spent some more time with him.Then took him to the vet. Was hoping for some relief, but she found a lot of fluid around his heart. He must have had a bad bleed from the tumor on his heart, during the night.
We knew this day was coming but was hoping for a little more time. We are in a daze. Wishing it was a bad dream
Rest easy my boy. We are going to miss you so much. I'm going to miss my alarm clock that wakes me up with licks to my face every morning.

Damnit..wet eyes here...6 weeks ago today, our last and very loved pet crossed the bridge. I know that hurt all too well. "See you on the other side"...damn. I told ours to wait for me, I'd be along.

Heelers are a special breed. I've had four in my lifetime. Miss them all dearly.

Y'all gave him a lot of love and good times... the same as he gave you.

Try to think about all the good times... and the way that tail wagged all the time when he was around you.

At the end we all just hope they didn't suffer. All they want to do is be around us and make us happy. A friend like that is hard to lose.
If there's a doggy heaven, just think of the welcome you'll get!
