Electra Meccanica stuff

I saw this display in a shopping center today of the Solo, which is an electric motorcycle for $18,500. Not for me, but interesting. I might swing by for a test drive this weekend, though. Reminds me of the Corbin Sparrow.

I looked up Electra Meccanica online and the parent company is Intermeccanica, who has been making nice 356 replicas for a long time. Now they make an electric verson. There's an interesting Tofino in there as well for about $50K. I pre-ordered one for fun, since there's no commitment required...

The interior looks kind of nice. Seems kind of spendy for a one-person car, but it might work for some.

They should stay with the 356. Their versions are the best in the replica world.

This thing is butt ugly imho.

Their early Italia Spyder was kinda cool and nice ones bring good $$$.

Modern cars are all butt ugly IMHO, but people still buy them. The gasping fish look (Lexus) is just hideous.
A car like that with a scaled down Fiat Topolino look would be cool.

That reminds me, I saw my very first Reliant Robin in the flesh yesterday. A couple of young guys (like 18) looked like they were having the time of their lives driving around in it!

Two wheels in the front; I guess they watched Top Gear.

I liked Corbin and wish his projects succeeded on a larger scale. Some of his innovations are striking.

They need a driver that knows how to put both hands on the steering wheel at the same time.

I like that 4-wheel mini truck a lot.

Merlin-7 the images say.
