Sooo.... who do I tip?

Out of my stimulus ... who gets their fair share?

stevej37 12-30-2020 04:29 AM

The person who alerted you first that you had it!
Paypal to me work?

KFC911 12-30-2020 04:37 AM

Sure... I'm taking bribes too!

fastfredracing 12-30-2020 05:27 AM

I am going to tip the generous providers of this bountiful blessing, and pay some taxes.
They have it all figured out I tell ya .

If I get a stimulus check, it's going right back to the Treasury Dept. as part of my Q4 estimated tax payment. I have until Jan. 15th to send it (back). If I get anything back after filing for 2020, I'll buy whatever the gov't. doesn't want me to buy - ammo, ghost guns or privately sold guns.

All of the local businesses where tipping is customary (restaurants, hotels, etc.) have gone out of business. There's no one left to tip.

fanaudical 12-30-2020 06:39 AM

Keep it for the impending tax hike - you'll need it.

rfuerst911sc 12-30-2020 06:52 AM

Mine will go towards buying two garage door openers for the new parking garage I built .

fintstone 12-30-2020 07:02 AM

If the government is giving you other people's money and don't need it (income-based social welfare), you should give it back. The folks they took it from would greatly appreciate it.

stevej37 12-30-2020 07:04 AM

My $440 will buy 20 of these for the turtles. :)

This money the gov't is "giving" you is as bogus as when they "give" you your tax return money.
Tip the next 5 generations in your family because not only will they pay back every penny but there will be interest on the debt and, the amount of money the govt spent to distribute it. The only people who come out ahead are elderly with no children because they won't have to pay it back.

Even worse if you didn't get any of it. At least if you got a check, you could invest it for your grandkids so they can pay your bills when they come due.

I hate when they call income-based welfare "stimulus." If they were simply trying t provide stimulus (vice wealth redistribution), everyone would get the same amount. Call it what it is.

Here’s a tip. It’s your money, being devalued. What’s 200,000,000 people times $2000 do to dilute the dollar value of your savings?

GH85Carrera 12-31-2020 07:03 AM

Like the last stimulus, I will pass on my stimulus to good wait staff. If the service was good, they get a hefty tip. If it is average service a smaller tip, but still not bad. Only abysmal bad service gets a no tip.

Nope, it's income based.

$75k single/$150k married. If you make over that, it's $5 bucks off for every $100 you're over.

I plan on following this advice;

Mine was deducted...but only a quarter or so.
