We're staying home. Alone. Wife works from home and is calling it quits @ 2:00. I just got home from the grocery store. King crab legs, Wellfleet oysters, huge mussels that we're gonna stuff with a bechamel and gruyere sauce, dungeness crab, escargot with garlic sauce, some home made cracked semi-bitter olives, a few slices of serrano ham, and whatever else we can stuff down our throats. Fire is already going in the fire place. Oh yeah, let's not forget the wine, beer, tequila for her and mezcal for me. Probably won't make it 'tll midnight.

HAPPY NEW YEAR TO ALL OF YOU AND YOUR LOVED ONES!!!!!

That sounds absolutely wonderful! I envy folks who can get fresh seafood. My daughter wanted a nice yellow fin steak tonight but I couldn't find one. Curse you Ohio!!

To keep people out of Times Square they will be having Yoko Ono singing live.

That is GOLD right there! There's one jackass in my neighborhood that loves making lots of noise and raising Hell on the 4th, with fireworks going off all night long. I already have his address written down for when I call the cops on his ass if he pulls that s#!t tonight.

Pretty much the same here...no more boogie nights left for the old couple that lives here. For some reason I stay up late, but no booze. All my drugs prescription. Hey, I still drink coffee.

Also a coffee drinker. Never been a morning person. I do not like day time TV and no reason to be up before I just wake up and no reason to go bed until I feel like it.

fireworks started here about an hour ago.
hopefully they will have them all spent by midnight.

I'll probably get some whisky and go street racing. Fire some guns in the air downtown for a while and perhaps cap the night off by leading the local police in a high speed chase.

I saw in the New Year by accident.

I'm house (cat) sitting a friends place who has had a big year and really needed a holiday so I said I'd look after cat so they went. Cat usually goes out for five minutes so I was happy to let him out but the little fella went out for three hours, then came in thoroughly pleased with himself.

Happy New Year all of you.

Won’t make it to 10pm here. Wife is already out.

Neighborhood fireworks are getting less frequent which makes me very happy.

I’m going to miss watching the Tournament of Roses parade tomorrow.

stevej37 12-31-2020 06:09 PM

It's 10pm here and the fireworks have ended.
I must live in pelican-type neighborhood. :)
