Anyone have a free Carfax available ?

Hello and happy new year ! I have started an email conversation with a private seller of a 2004 Cayenne turbo . He bought it as a running project a year ago . Currently it runs and has 150,000 miles on it . No maintenance records/history available . Car looks straight in the pics provided . Would like to run a vehicle history as another piece of data . If anyone has a free Carfax available I would appreciate feedback on the vehicle history . VIN number is :

WP1AC29P14LA90513

Thank you

Not sure if it has changed since Pelican was sold but asking for or providing free Carfax reports on the forum used to be a big no-no, like a banning offense. Wayne considered it ripping-off a fellow business.

Just a FYI.

Also, that sounds like a Cayenne that should be very cheap. Clean title? I'd get a really thorough inspection of it somehow and lowball on the price, big time.

If the asking for a Carfax is a no no I ask any moderator to remove my post . I am a long time poster and didn't know it was forbidden . I have seen the same question asked several times and assumed it was ok . Thanks for the heads up .

It's a perfectly normal question and I've asked for one before, just not on this forum. Threads like this used to pop-up regularly but Wayne shut them down quickly, it fell under internet piracy to him.

Everything on a CF is actually publicly available information, they just somehow managed to bundle it and monopolize it into a business. You should just be able to google a VIN and get all the same information.

I did Google the VIN but only found minor details for free . It could just be my search skills or lack of 😁 . I know the Cayennes can be quite difficult to work on and a twin turbo adds complexity to the equation . This particular one has 150K on it with an asking price of $4500.00 . Not sure if I will pursue or not .

Do your due diligence and low ball

150K on a twin turbo Cayenne... no way, unless you want a continuing project.

Yep and add in first year of production and someone else has already been working on it from the sound of it. I buy broken stuff all the time but if someone else has started working on it, I'm down the road, in a cloud of smoke.

I also like a challenge sometimes but I wouldn't touch this w a 10' pole. Nice examples are dirt cheap. :)

I have told the seller I will pass . Thanks for the advice guys .
