Yeah, I think the only problem was the mechanic put the gun on and that incorrectly and shared the drive dogs off of it before enough torque was applied to the net to turn it.

Time to make the nuts out of titanium, or reduce the number of dogs..

Exactly what I was thinking.

Didn't look like much of an autopsy either

Im assuming he just cut a slit in the nut and the pressure was gone. Or at least that's what it looked like

I'm starting to think Haas is not doing Mick Shumacher any favors by having him drive their car, and the same for Russell. They could be ruined if they don't soon get better cars, especially Russell in the Williams. IMO

Senna drove a Toleman and then a Lotus in his F1 formative years. He did OK.
Russell and Li'l Shuey are both in beginners cars, and both of them have top-dog, big money teams making sure that their F1 lives are going to be a lot easier than someone like a Mazepin.
Russel because he's a top talent, Schuey, well because he's Schuey.

Where would you have Russell go? Merc wants him where Botta currently sits - I think they (Merc) are using Ocon's name to keep him (Russell) from getting too comfy with the idea that he's heir apparent to the best team on the grid.

I think Russell will be OK (psychologically). He doesn't seem as urgent (desperate?) as the reporters when asked about a poor showing. Not that he doesn't care; he's just got a calm, mature demeanor. I think he knows that everyone else knows he's got a crap car, and if put into something good (like the Mercedes), he can compete for wins straight away. So he's just biding his time.

But if his contract is up at the end of this year (or next), Mercedes junior or not, would another team swoop him up? Would Red Bull take him in place of Perez?

Some aren't happy.

It seems that Betty is a bit of an idiot.

What will Lewis do?

rfuerst911sc 06-05-2021 05:43 AM

Well that was an " interesting " qually session .

Who's the chick that follows Ham around, and why?

herr_oberst 06-05-2021 07:22 AM

We have no idea who's really fast-fast. And as I figured, Mercedes was sandbagging yesterday.

WPOZZZ 06-06-2021 06:42 AM

Ham really screwed the pooch on the restart! Great finish by Seb.

Doug E 06-06-2021 06:52 AM

Just saw the headlines ... go figure, the 1st race I had taped and planned to watch later. Sure sounds like a wild finish!

WPOZZZ 06-06-2021 07:01 AM

Gasly and Charles were really going at it. I thought they were going to crash.

I don't think Gasly is a crasher, seems like a good kid with lots of talent. There were a lot of guys in that race who had a s**t load of bad luck.

rfuerst911sc 06-06-2021 07:58 AM

Congrats to really the top 10 drivers . Some good battles and I really expected more running into the wall incidents . Take out the two blown tires and it was a well run race . I think Bottas is done at MB .
