Does he still wear shirts?

You guys think Max will use #1, or #33 next season?

A loss for all of racing, not just the F1 community, RIP Jesse Alexander, https://racer.com/2021/12/22/jesse-alexander-1929-2021/

have three of his photos I bought in a London flea market in the '90's. Fangio and Hill at Monaco, the last running start at LeMans another Monaco pic. Great photographer. His work is what got me really interested in European road racing.

Mercedes has fired up their 2022 contender for the first time . Haas has passed mandatory crash testing for their 2022 chassis . It's slowly moving forward for the new season .

The life of an F1 mechanic with the extended calendar. https://www.autosport.com/f1/news/the-brutal-reality-for-mechanics-as-f1s-calendar-expands/6960600/

^That is a tough read. I hope the trends he cites will be reversed sooner rather than later.

As a small business owner I found the article interesting and amusing to an extent.

In the last 5 years there have been points where I worked 7 days a week for 2 months straight. 12 hour days? Lmao!! That is a short day. I typically go from 0500 to 1900 every day and hope I do not have to take work home to finish up.

5 hours sleep a night M-F then take it easy on the weekend and only work 8 hour days.

I have not had a week vacation since 2017. Any time I take off in the last few years has been limited to "long weekends" as in I work non stop for 3 weeks leading up. By the time I leave the long weekend of my vacation I have worked 60+ hours. Then I take my laptop on vacation. On business days, I check in with the office every afternoon to go over issues and I am on my laptop each morning checking and send out files.

It put a strain on my family big time, I had to undo financial damage done to me by the 6 year recession.

I am almost financially back to where I was in 2007. Almost. 1 more year and I will exceed my net worth in 2007.

IMHO the only way I would consider a job as an F1 mechanic would be if I was single and in my 20's to 30's.

Not sure what kind of pay these guys are pulling, that may sway my attitude towards thus article even more.

But you don’t have the travel component and the time away from family and friends. And you’re the boss, not the worker bee. You call the shots, the author does not have that luxury.

Not saying its tough for you as a small business owner, but the comparison is apples to oranges.
