Black Garlic.

Black Garlic.

I'd never heard of it before, let alone eaten the stuff.

I got given some and opened it. My first thought was "Darn, it's gone rotten." Luckily I didn't throw it out and opened a clove.

WOW, it's amazing. I can't stop eating it.

Yes very tasty and good for your vitals. Northern Europeans swear by fermented garlic.

I bought this about 12 months ago. I plan on using this outside of the house but I need to install a shelf near a power outlet in a covered area and away from the back door... So I just haven't had time to set it up yet.

Actually I bought the machine mainly for my mum. She's been living with me since late February (Covid lock down etc.)... And she's rented out her house so she ain't moving back anytime soon. She'll be 84 later this year and slowing down so I'd rather have her living with me than on her own. My GF thinks it's cute... lol

Part of my bought stash!

Well if you want to completely destroy the health benefits, black garlic mayo/aioli is delicious. I had it on a sandwich this evening!

If you follow the instructions, a jar doesn't last long. I think it said to eat 3 bulbs a day. Those bulbs are a little over 27 mm.

I have been wanting to start a club for beet haters for decades. It would be called The Leave 'Em in the Ground Club.

I like them that way.

I like beets, a lot! It's got to be the canned stuff. Very processed.

My friend's daughter said to me "You're very odd." Maybe she was right.

I'm going to try to find some black garlic. As far as beets are concerned, I love them, especially with bleu cheese dressing. The best are fresh, whole beets boiled for an hour or more to get cooked through, cooled, & sliced. The peels can be removed by just rubbing them with your hands.

So it is with MrsWD. She would eat garlic on Cheerios. Hold the Cheerios.

We grow about 20 pounds of garlic every year. Super easy to grow and better than most supermarket garlic.
