There were less than 500 people in the NBA bubble with millions of $$$ on the line and they couldnt even keep that covid free.

There is a 0% chance 50,000 people randomly stuck hotels would adhere to any kind of policy.

Totally agree with biosurfer. Never gonna work in the real world. Payton may mistake his desire and discipline to winning to be shared equally by 50K other people, Saints fans or not.

What these elite NFL personnel fail to realize is that the average football fan can barely scrape together enough $$ for 2 regular season tickets along with parking, a souvenir, beer, and dogs at the game, and a nice meal afterwards (about $1000 all told)...no way they are going to stay sequestered in a hotel with catered meals, no paychecks from work, and no social life for 2 weeks just to see a damned game.

It's down to 7 days now I think? and trust me. I grew up in NOLA. If this was made to be, you'll have 100K people trying for those 50K spots.. easily.. They would turn it into a weeklong party with everyone else at the hotel.. lol..

Yeah, they are trying to figure out a way to make something happen. Drive by viewing of the floats / bands seems to be the forerunner for now.. Interesting to see what happens..
