Race Car Seat Fit - Request for an analysis
I've been thinking of changing the seats out in my 911 for some light weight fixed back race style seats, and stumbled upon a video.
If you watch this goofy video it looks like at times the seat is a poor fit for this young man, but on a second look it could just be a weird seat design. I'd like a second set of eyes on this so I can learn something and move on. I've enhanced some stills to clarify what I think I see. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RmgGJNMiZNo New (alum.) seat on right - the subject of inquire. ![]() I drew the red target cross-hair where I think the bone socket pivot point is (rotator cuff), and put white dots in to outline the seat edge. ![]() What I thought I first saw was the shoulders well below the shoulder wings, but a still photo analysis leans towards a view that the unusual shoulder wings create an optical illusion. His arms still look like they are pinned under the shoulder wings in other parts of the video, which disturbs me - but at least he got his free decals and bling I guess. What's your take?
