Oh. The cabin announcement when reaching 250k and six times the speed of sound was. Please feel free to walk about without seatbelts and feel free to smoke.

I'm 55. I got the re-runs. It was entertaining and hilariously hokey.
I could not stop laughing when they talked. It was so wrong.

Gerry and Sylvia Anderson also did Space 1999 which was ahead of its time.
Always a fan of Martin Landau, then again Maya on Space 1999 was pretty cute for a 10 year kids eyes.

I used to drive my little brother crazy by walking like a marionette when he was watching the show.

All you have to do is go up on your toes a little as you take each step to make it look like you're floating and make your arms kinda float like they're connected to wires... and swivel your head left and right.

You can see so many of Gerry Anderson's work on Amazon Prime, TubiTV and Vudu..........a new golden era.

Have you guys seen Space Angle an animated series from 1962?

The figures are stills but the lips move as an overlay, Conan O'Brien used to do a skit similar.

The series features a Scottish engineer, a female in a critical role, and the square jaw hero that works for the Space Force.

Most of the sound effects were re-used in the "The Cage" pilot film for Star Trek in late 1964 and recycled again for the TV series in 66. At least that's what my own ears tell me.

I used to watch the T Birds battle it out with the NY Bombers or the Detroit Devils on Sunday evening on KTLA with Dick Lane sayin, "Ohhhhh Nellie."

The Birds would always come from behind and win in the last seconds of the match, except for ONCE!

The hands on the puppets are freaking huge. Definitely not Trumpish. Even on “Lady Penelope “.

I had a Fireball XL5 lunchbox. We'd kick them along the sidewalk on the way home from school.

Those babies are worth some Do-Re-Mi these days, Ah..sweet youth.

Season 1 Space 1999 Great show. The Eagle transporters modular design was ahead of its time.

Looks like they did a sequel series. Thunder bird are go.

Must have missed the memo. No marionette action. Still bigass hands. Granny is a *****y babushka that can’t cook. Brains turned into a whiney East Indian. The lady still had the pink ride with driver sans hat. Dad is gone at least for the first ten episodes. They added a junior brother that has a hot babysitter. The closet wanker in outer space is still a wanker. They repeated the can’t land the SST episode.

A little more pc. Still campy.
