They say they aren't making sedans anymore, but I always wanted some sly boots to make a vanilla sedan based on the Mustang platform and call it the Ford Falcon. :D |
Remind us all of a terrible, ugly car that no one liked.
Brilliant move, Ford. Perhaps GM can make a new Vega truck. |

Back in the mid '70's a friend of mine had a Grabber with a stock 302 and a 4 speed. It was a clean little car, he had it tricked out with Radial T/A's and some appropriate wheels. Cragar s/s maybe. Can't remember. Good stereo.
He kept it nice, though. I went skiing in that car many, many times. Decent little runner for what it was, not embarrassing to be seen in. |

Nothing in the articles suggest import into USA/Canada but the pre-approved Cruze engine would make it easier. https://gmauthority.com/blog/2019/07/is-gm-preparing-to-rename-chevrolet-tornado-to-montana/ Quote:
I understand that some didn't like the ever so slight slope in the Ranger's hood, too "car like". My brother called it ugly although he could not say why, didn't mention the hood but I know that's what he meant as it's the only real difference between the GM offering. As seen in the spy photos, this new Ford has a flat truck hood, maybe it will "pick-up" those disenfranchised customers. |
Uni-body. So it will have the towing capacity of a Ridgeline.

Read "Bronco Sport" based. Imo, should have been based on the Explorer driveline layout.
|
Following the Ford nostalgia DNA this should be Ranchero, not Maverick.
