Pelahatchie Mississippi. A town with a police force of about 2 (Two). And one really greedy lady that just thought she was savvy in the crypto biz.

Watching the drop over the last 2 days...I am always surprised when it drops this fast.

I know there are reasons for the drop, but still...

Here's a great overview of crypto technology by Matt Levine: https://www.bloomberg.com/features/2022-the-crypto-story/

If you're not familiar with Matt, he writes for Bloomberg and has a knack for explaining highly technical finance things in a simple, and often very amusing way. He's truly gifted.

This article is looooong, but worth the read if you want an excellent explanation of the pros/cons of crypto and how it all works (or doesn't).

NEWER COINS DO NOT REQUIRE THE HUGE WASTE OF ENERGY THE BIT-COIN DOES

SO IT WILL DIE AND BE REPLACED BY OTHER COINS SCHEMES

problem is the new ways advantage the other coin holders who have the most coins

expect huge swings

My prediction of sub-$20k was dead accurate.
It's now $16k.
Sorry if you lost money buying this fool's gold.
I predict it will drop to under $10k in 2023.

I didn't lose anything on Bitcoin. I lost a bit betting on Vanadium batteries though. But anyway, my apologies I misread your original post. You were right, for now at least.

I set my buy price as $6k, and only after it's stabilised there for a year or so.

Just read a couple of predictions on the CNBC site....

Bitcoin is either heading towards irrelevance or will hit $250K per coin within six months, depending on who ya wanna listen too :D.

svandamme 12-05-2022 02:48 AM

yeaaah, I'm sure those boasting the 250K are the ones who bought in at 40K and didn't see the irrelevance coming..

Exactly. They need to pump it up in hopes they can get out of their position.

Only reason it's not $0 already is because people can't sell when the exchange is insolvent.
Many have already lost 100%

I am up 52% since 2/12 in Blackrock's ETF, IBIT. I only dropped 10k into it.

I herd about this dark web crypto thingy early on.
I poo-poo'ed it as another vaporware. Shirley it will be shut down by the feds tomorrow. Right?
USD stronk. This is just competitive harbinger of undermining.
But now I know why.
USD is expendable.

It seems enough influential people had enough distrust in the current system to create an artificial one.
And they want to be able to move valuation internationally.
Leading to a globalist currency.
