I'm not in favor of hockey without a bubble. But I will be watching.

Good stuff. Hopefully it won't be the dumpster fire that NFL and NCAA football were at various times this year.

Did you ever find a link that showed that King Henry's problem was Covid related?

It was a on radio segment. They were pretty sure it's a COVID risk for him.

He's been playing regularly in Sweden, there's no mention of surgery or treatment. Just a year off because 'the risk is too high'.

edit: some above is speculation on my part, on the radio they were quite confident that he has a condition that makes COVID exposure especially risky for him.

Sounds like they are saying because of his heart, he cannot risk being exposed to Covid as opposed to the Covid caused the heart problem. Still stinks either way.

Add the Giants to that payroll and I wouldn't need my social security checks!

I have only very slight sclerosis and my cardiologist warned me about Rona associated heart trouble.

Correct, he does not and did not have COVID. He is concerned about getting it.

I am glad hockey will be starting . I assume it will be no fans or limited qty of fans . I watched an interview this morning with the NBA commissioner and he was talking about them starting their season .

There will be no " bubble " . He stated every player will be tested twice a day and any that test positive get pulled immediately out of team for quarantine . I would think many leagues will adopt similar protocol . He also made a comment that no players/teams will " jump the line " for the vaccine . He made it clear they will wait their turn for first responders/medical professionals and others to get the vaccine first . I thought that was good of him to make that statement .

Good to see Detroit playing Chicago, but I wish they were in the same division as Colorado to rekindle that hatred.

My buddy who is a huge Preds fan is looking forward to seeing them play Detroit.

The East is going to be the toughest division. The North will have great hockey because all those teams just love each other...

The East is a beast, no doubt. I don't see a real patsy in that division, except maybe the Devils...or Rangers? Sabers, Flyers, and Islanders were all kind of road kill for several years not too long ago. But each of those teams has significantly improved in the last two seasons.

Gonna be bloody.

How about "Leave the penalty box, take the cannoli" ?

It will be tough on older players and goalies. No camp, no pre-season, new players on the team. The older players and goalies won't be in full game shape early on. The D (especially goalies) need to communicate but haven't figured each other out yet.
