skin tag

Who's got em'? Anyone try to get rid of them on your own? I must be getting old? Found one under my left armpit and its bugging the hell out of me. I read up on it a bit but there seem to be these liquid, patches, or pen that seem to remove them. Thoughts? This one is tiny but I like it gone.

Have had a few small ones. You can dry them out with those pens or drops. But I just like to get rid of them so ice it for a minute, touch it for a second or two with a good hot soldering iron, you will hear it pop. I guess that is the water inside boiling? Just like that it will be gone, never to return. Rub a dab of Neosporin on it.

My doctor sniped mine off with some fancy looking clippers (3 total)... It only hurt for a few seconds.

Now you're wishing you'd kept that shoulder plane that you sent!

Same - I have had a few small ones. I used George's method. If you feel unsure, go to a doctor.

There are some DIY freeze products available. I had two that I froze and it seems to have worked. I tried snipping one off and I failed. Hurt like hell. Choose your poison.

Hence, alcohol.

You can do it with a dab of alcohol, a pair of forceps (tweezers to get a grip) and snip with micro scissors ....

I have a few pair if you need one.

Hence Alcohol would be a good user name.

I've always had a doctor do it with a light pain killer.

I may try the OTC freeze stuff. I'm too much of a wimp to do it myself.

I had one generate the other day. It was like a sore that subsided in a day or two. Voila, skin tag remains. Under arm.

I like to take a wooded match, light it until full flame engulfs the match head, then blow it out and touch the tip/center of the tag. Works well and not panful as it would seem. IDY there're any nerve ending in these things.

Works on very small moles as well. They hardly scab and there's no risk of hygiene WRT to an open bleeding wound.

Tie dental floss tightly at the base to choke off blood supply. 2-3 days it falls off, no pain.

I have used this stuff for skin tags and hand/foot warts.
Just coat the area with it and cover it with a bandaid. Within a few days it will start an infection and the tag or wart will die and fall off...including the root.
It's primarily a black walnut paste. It truly does work.

Thanks for all the tips and reply. I am too chicken to burn it off with anything hot. What does alcohol do besides cleaning? Its doesn't numb the skin tag?

If you don't want to cut it off, tie a string on it tight at the base and it will fall off.
