How about a little bigger?
Nope. I'll jump out of a perfectly good airplane. I'll stand on a tall bridge or building or climb a tall tree. I gone off of a 3m board and whichever end hits first feels like it's hitting a board. I don't see myself jumping into water from anything taller than 3m. I guess maybe if someone coached me, I might be willing to start at 3m and work my way up if they could show me how to land so it didn't hurt like hell, but the couple/few times that I've tried anything taller than a regular diving board, the landing has hurt something or several things.

I would think that hitting the water at a slightly off angle (at that height)...would be very bad.

Sure I could, with a little push lol.
My stomach turns just watching that. Worked at height for years, never lost my healthy respect for it.

I think I might be able to muster up the courage to jump feet first, and I am a bit afraid of heights. not sure.
When I was a teenager, A local swimming lake had a 10M platform in the middle of it which wasnt a huge deal to jump off off. Pretty painful if you land wrong

I've done 10 meters but never 20. Oh and I sucked.

20 meters, about 60 feet.
I've done 40, maybe 45 feet into a lake. For some reason I'd rather go back to the lake than dive into a pool from that height. |

Again I agree with Dan. Love lake swimming! And like he, I have done 40-45 but not 60. One and a halfs, in fact, but I would likely jump 60 rather than dive it. Gravity acceleration is about 32 ft/sec/sec. From 60 ft you'd be going nearly 60 mph. One more second and things get much more interesting.

The only way I would do it...would be tucked into the fetal position and hope to hell that I didn't hit the bottom of the pool.
oh also...holding onto the man sack.
