Back shortly after I bought my 1974 914 2.0 brand new I was out for a drive on the back roads of Alabama. I stopped in Weogufka, Al at a little gas station that looked like the gas station from the Any Griffith show. As I was pumping in gas two boys that were about 6 or 7 peeked out from behind a Coke vending machine. One poked the other and said, lookie thar that's a real race car! I just smiled and finished filling up.
