Sad,
Got to see the Return to Forever reunion tour years ago. An insane amount of musicianship.

Didn't he also do stuff with Herbie Hancock? Hancock did a bit with Jay Leno, told a funny story about buying his early Cobra...

Herbie and Chick played together many times. They also both graduated from playing with Miles Davis.

Oh man, one of the greats for sure... and an absolute fave of my wife who is a professional pianist. We've seen him live maybe 5 or 6 times over the years including with Herbie Hancock in 2015, with his trio in 2018, and most recently with the Seattle Symphony in November 2019. RIP Chick.

Sad, I remember the first time hearing Medieval Overture, I was blown away and had to go out and buy the album immediately.
He was a great musician...

My father was a jazz guy and loved Chick...especially with Miles Davis and Stan Getz.
I can still remember Corea playing throughout the house, courtesy of some big boy Altec Lansing cabinet speakers.
