PS2 is your best freind when you're in that situation.......now's a good time to get skilled at some racing games.......
the more you concentrate on "driving" the less you'll notice the gaping holes in the back of your mouth..........sorry.....i had too
just don't smoke (you probably don't....you're 16 ) or drink from a straw......the vacuum created in your mouth will legnthen the healing process and can cause bleeding.

One of those life's experiences that, when you look back at it, you'll be grateful you won't have to go through again! Hope you heal fast...now has to be a (female dog word inserted here).

TCBY Blueberry yogurt, brought over by one of the best looking ex-girlfriends there ever was. AHHHH the memories. Rub the yogurt on the girl, you'll forget about the teeth...

I get mine out tomorrow. Mine all came in normally, but I have fillings in the lower 2. The lower left tooth broke - part of it just disappeared, and I've been living thru 3 weeks of dental hell. And the insurance (blue cross) won't cover any of it.

Hehe, before I went I told my dad to rent the 'Yellow Submarine' I wanted to see if I could understand it better. Ooo I get a milkshake today!!! hmm, I already listened to "the lion the witch and the wardrobe", just got done with "Enders Game", gona listen to 'The Raven', then start "The fellowship of the rings". Boy I love Kazaa!!!

Had all 4 of mine ripped from my face while I was in the Marine Corps. Still not sure what was worse, the cracking and breaking sounds as they were being removed or the knee of the Navy dentist pressing into my chest so he could get better leverage...seriously!!!

Maybe they just weren't as ready to come out as I was told they were...

Drink lots of Ensure, man. My "oral surgeon" (not dentist--was very specific about that for some reason) gave me anti-inflammatories BEFORE the extraction. Mine were growing sideways into my other teeth, he had to go in there, break 'em, and pull 'em out in pieces.

No general anaesthesia for me, either. Just lots of novocaine & some nitrous. I will never forget the sound of my lower right one shattering under the ministrations of Steve Martin, uh, I mean, my oral surgeon.

Good times.

I just got home from getting mine out (and I drove the 911 to and from). The doc is a corvette guy, so the conspiracist in me thinks he was double plus un-gentle. Actually, the top 2 came out in less than 10 minutes - like butter. The bottom two were a different story. The LR one had to be drilled into pieces, and then it came out. The LL - the one that was giving me the pain that necessitated removal in the first place, was a royal b!tch! That was the only one that hurt, and the two assistants had to hold me down while he drilled through the tooth so he could inject novacaine directly into the root. That was the only way I was going to be able to tolerate it. After that, it wasn't so bad, but it was still 4 hours of fun, all told.

Oh, and to add insult to injury - it cost me almost $900. That woulda paid for my new rear shocks, and a nice fiberglass hood, or half of my new lift!

I don't remember all the trauma from my oral surgery. The doc hit me with some gas and told me to count backwards from 100. I think I got to 90, and the next thing I knew my dad was helping me out to the car. A couple days later I was back in action. It was rather painless, as I recall. My teeth were impacted, so it wasn't an easy job.

All I can say is "Where can I buy a bottle of that gas?" That stuff was killer sweeeet.

I went the truth serum route. Sodium Penathol. Thom? You wouldn't drive home after that stuff. Fly maybe, but not drive...The needle goes in, and it's lights out. I wonder what the record is for counting backwards? I didn't make 95. Makes me believe execution by injection might be a little too civilized & kind...

whoo doggies. I went in at 8 am, and left at 845 am.. they nocked me out.. hey just think, you were paying for the doctors new fiberglass hood!, make yourself some jello, lots of jello..., Also, get two socks, and two icepacks, put the icepacks in the socks, tie the socks together, and put them so one icepack is on each side of your cheeks, then get the things they put around a split to hold the wood. Ill post some pics..
