1950 Movie HOT ROD
Insomnia night last night. Found this hour long teen flick. Very B or even C grade plot wise. Still, I enjoyed the footage of L.A. areas from 70 plus years ago, some old dry lakes racing opening scenes, and deuce roadsters as they really were back in the day.
Hey, did cops really drive Ramblers back then? The cop Harley is something to drool over as well... Also upheld a theory of how and why the SouCal car culture was born. Mainly, they had a LOT more room to play with cars back then. enjoy...or not. Your choice. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FnVARR9J79s

They used to have "Hot Rods To Hell" with Dana Andrews on YT, but now you have to pay for it.

I watched it a while back.
Thin plot, (and that's being generous) but it's fun to see period hot rods when they were more or less state-of-the-art at the time.

Who is the guy in the black ball cap at 3:15? Again at 3:30, 3:40? A young Carl Maldon? Face looks familiar

I thought the same...but no Karl in the cast listing. Considering it was made in 1950, it's a pretty safe bet that all those "school kids" in the movie are no longer with us. Not unless they made it past 90...
