Comfy shoes

I'm sure it is not just me. A day of standing and my feet are killing me.
Anyone find shoes that are super comfy to avoid this?
I have orthotics, but they just correct my arches.
Sucks getting old ....

For home I wear New Balance, at work I wear Rockports.

What type of shoe do you have to wear?

With a suit, job site, etc.?

For suit needs, I get a size larger (13 1/2) and put more gel in them than
Pam Anderson's bolt on's.

At work I wear dress shoes with orthotics, but I sit all day.

I need these more for working on the car or if I am fishing.

Probably not a good idea, toe-wise, but I wear NB 624 sneakers for everything not associated with suit wearing work...all farm work included.

Boots just don't do it for me. I do the same with the 624's - one size bigger, more cushion inserts (there are some really good ones) than a sofa and go.

I have three pair at anyone time: The farm set, the out in town set and the workout set. They all eventually become the farm set.

The reason for this is that due to an accident my left leg is shorter than my right and my arch was severely compromised. Lisfranc for all my friends. I can adjust the padding for maximum comfort and lace them for effect.

It works for me, I am sure there are other solutions.

I was just using this site yesterday. Good arch support in a sneaker is hard to find. Each shoe is rated for other qualities when clicking on them.

That is great.

I should have mentioned that I take out the left shoes original padding and put in my own, I have been doing this for over 40 years, padding that keeps my foot from barking.

Nice site!

I wear New Balance Fresh Foam sneakers. They come in a several different styles and wide sizes.

My current favorites are the New Balance Roav. I have a few pairs.

You can put down rubber anti-fatigue mats in the garage. Where exactly do they hurt?

The Wife is a big fan of Skechers. She bought me a pair of the slip ones for Christmas.

I do have to say they are comfortable but I prefer my Thorogood work boots or my Merrel Moab low hikers for work and I walk 5-7 miles daily.

I have a pair of insulated leather boots for hunting that I wear year round for stuff like working a tiller, shoveling, dirt bike and what not where I like a little extra protection. They are about as comfortable as my Rockports, but cost a whole lot more. I could jog (and have) a while in them without discomfort, but the weight gets tiring. I don't recall the name brand at the moment though.

Timely thread. My feet have been killing me . I have great boots for the winter months, that are warm and super comfy, but hot in the warmer months . I cannot really wear a tennis shoe, as I really need to stick with a steel toe. One dropped brake rotor could easily break a few toes . Sketchers work for about a month , then they are just horrible . I was getting ready to try some doc martins.
Any other suggetstions? I spend 10-12 hours a day walking/standing on a concrete slab .

Keen, White, Clarks, Red Wing are all good brands for boots.

For comfy dress shoes, SAS Ambassador, about $250

Sorbathane makes a good cushioned insole, as does Spenco. Replace insole that came with shoe with these.

I wear Rieker shoes and boots. German so very well made LOL They always feel light, so I'm not walking around all day moving two kilos, two kilos,.... But more like 500 grams, 500 grams.

Then with all my shoes and boots I wear, I get a insole by DR. SCHOLL’SŪ INSOLE.

I bought these Sketchers off Amazon and they were so comfortable I bought another pair just when the Covid hit - thinking we'd have problems getting stuff like this. I didn't want to be without a replacement. Still on the first pair. I wear them EVERY day for work.

I DO put gel inserts in them.

Skechers Men's Expected Avillo Relaxed-Fit Slip-On Loafer

Under $50.00/pair. I bought a size 13 because I like a little extra room for my toes...
