GT1 brakes, F1 grunt

I was wondering, was it the brakes (can't imagine the F1 having weak brakes) or was the GT1 lighter than the F1? Maybe the F1 had more power and therefore had some sort of weight penalty.

I'd like to see this thing run on a track by someone competent.
