I thought I was done chipping ice
I live in Houston. I put up with hurricanes, hot humid weather in the summer, etc. I've lived in the North East. And I do not miss chipping ice from a driveway and side walk. My back does not miss it one bit.
I thought I was done chipping ice. Ice storm. No one sells salt/sand mix. I had 80 lbs of salt for my pool and a 40 lb bag of leveling sand. I put down salt last night, which helped a lot today, leaving a bit of damp gap in most places. But crap my back. I haven't chipped ice in 20+ years. |
It's been about 20 yrs for me too. Fortunately, it wasn't too bad here in the SE. Did drain the pipes, just in case. Need to rework some of my sprinkler piping, add a blow out connection and some valves. Drop lights and tarps for now. This would be a nicer than normal day back home.

Whole house generator is the way to go. At least I have power and heat.

Who installed yours? LOL |
That's the way to go. Fingers crossed, we've had power. Might help that we're near hospitals, the Sheriff/HPD/HFD stations and NASA. Although, the local FB posts say a lot of my neighbors are out. Worst comes to worst, I have sleeping bags and a few cars with heaters.

I haven't chipped ice in over ... err ... what are you talkin' about ... hell frozen over :D?
Just can't relate... be safe tho! |
And I hope you never find out

Be safe James! How is T-Mobile coverage if you ever have to leave/vacate? Mine is great here, but I'd also want another carrier as backup (mebbe just a simm) if I lived there.
Good luck! |
T-mobile is fine. AT&T sucks wangs right now.
