Very, very interesting.

The first time we lived in Japan, late 70s, I had my first experience with a rotten egg. My guess is that the eggs in the commissary came on a slow boat from the US, but I don't know for sure. I'm 50. I think I've only experienced that one bad egg ever.

I 2nd that. While they are still warm, place a paper towel on the counter and lightly roll them and the shell will peel off very easily and come off pretty much in 1 piece.
