Amazing front row seat of Perseverance Landing on Mars

Words cannot do this video justice

Just amazing and soooooo COOL.

It is neat to see the reality of a landing and not a simulation. So I guess we are littering up the surface of Mars with debris. The parachute, the heat shield, the sky train all just discarded. With no water to speak of, they will last millions of years. I guess dust and dirt will cover them eventually.

Super cool!

I wouldn’t worry about that. . . NASA considers all that discarded hardware as their property.

They will pick that stuff up as soon as it becomes feasible and 1) Study the long term effects on the material and 2) Probably put it in a Museum.

Just like the simulations, only more suspenseful.

Cant imagine the nerves if that was my project.
Knowing what you are seeing actually happened about 12 min before the Intel you have.

If it lands great! if it fails, well by the time you know anything, its already happened and there is nothing you can do about it now.,

Here's a shorter video showing the highlights of the landing!

Can you even imagine programming the craft to do this autonomously?
