I'm guessing it's routed like this.
The down-pipe goes to a spigot a distance away?

Exactly as your arrows show and yes, to 2 other spigots down the line.

Can you add an air fitting after the valve to blow out the line?
(or add those closer to the pump for the entire run)
There is the option of lopping it all off and re-designing it.

Insulate and get heated wire on a thermostat like they use in gutters.
Direct burial wire will be needed and it's own breaker. The run marked and protected from shovels in the future.
If the pipe is buried deep enough it wont freeze, but the parts above ground will.
It and all of the above ground plumbing was thoroughly insulated before that, and we had temps that set records for cold for nearly 100 years. I'm unlikely to worry about a hot wire. We were very lucky. Many, many people had pretty catastrophic failures. We had uninsulated PVC under the house (pier and beam). The only place that we had a break was that PVC valve inline with the galvanized pipe in this thread and in the pump house. I've since added a hotwire and some insulation in the pump house. I'll have all of the above ground hose bibs insulated before the winter.

I am thinking about adding a shutoff valve to the line that leads to these distant spigots. It's a good idea to also add an air fitting to be able to blow the lines out. We rarely use those spigots, so I could blow them out in Nov and not worry about them again until Mar.

Lopping it off and redesigning sounds like a lot of work.

Plumbing isn't hard, but it's not exactly relaxing. I'm only likely to do it if I have to.

hey if you want both stupid questions and stupid answers, ya came to the right place.

There are 4-way splitters, each with their own shutoff. All-brass would be the way to go. An idea.

It looks like whatever they had in the parts bin, they used to get what they wanted.

I would hate to see whats behind the washer and drier. Probably another two hose bibs.

hate to be the bearer of bad news but..
If the house (with reserve/buffer/filtration/etc) isn't first on the list for pressure delivery and a straight shot from the pump...

You might plan for a ditch digger and laying new pipe below frost line in gravel.
-pipe sizing for flow/pressure
-no bends to reduce pump wear
-clean-out traps for sand and debris before the expensive filters
-can you put a large pressure reserve tank well above ground? A miny water tower like the old days. Possible? Permits? etc?

I tend to overthink what works And I known squat about well systems

No frost line here.
Our pressure switch is a 40/60 model. We normally have great pressure. It's actually better than any place I've lived since I've been in the Houston area (since '95).
There is a pressure reserve tank above ground. I was surprised at how small it was (maybe 20 Gal). My parents used to have a well, and there's was considerably larger. It's sitting in the pump house above ground, but not really on a tower (maybe raised 6").

Previous homeowner added an extension water line out to the chicken coup in the back yard (field.) Looks similar to what you've got there. PVC cutoff would turn off the supply at the other bib.
