Boxter Radio question
I tried to post this in the Boxter forum but after 150 views, I have no responses. I know there are quite a few people in OT who might have an answer or narrow down where to look that never go to the Boxter forum so I thought I would try.
A friend just purchased a 2000 Boxter. He is saying he has a CDR220 radio that holds 1 CD at a time. He pushed the eject button, nothing came out and he inserted his own CD. When he puts it on CD, it is not playing his CD but something completely different. I have not seen the car but will probably run over there tomorrow to look at it. He says there is no multi-CD box in the trunk. I asked him if it is possible there is a aftermarket CD player under the seat? Any suggestions on where to look for this mysterious CD or audio source? Thanks guys. |
If eject isn't working there's likely a CD stuck inside and it won't come out. Seen that before with auto CD players.

Hurting my brain trying to remember. I swear the CD player is hidden behind a panel in the trunk.

Mine's never jammed..only used it once. After reading if the problem I use an ipod set to shuffle play.. |
CD Changer should be located in the front trunk near the spare.
Try pressing the eject button with all power off for 5 seconds. If it doesnt eject, turn the ignition on while still holding the button. This has worked for me in the past... |

Zero desire for a Mustang table, but sure would take this:

Is there possibly an iPod or mp3 player hooked into the aux in port of the head unit? (The same port that would be used by an aux cd changer)
The optional CD changer mounts near the spare tire. Should be fairly obvious. https://motorwerke.ca/wp-content/upl...-Repair-30.jpg |
