Buying stamps online

Does anyone else buy their stamps online?

I have found buying them online to be a much easier and more efficient process than going to the post office.

I buy directly from the USPS website.

This morning I placed an order for 8 sheets of various themed Forever stamps. Two are 24 stamps/sheet and the others are 20/sheet.

I pay cost for the stamps and only $1.85 for shipping - well worth it.

Some of what I bought today are Christmas stamps for this coming December.

Some of these will be for Mom too as she no longer drives and isn't that great at using online services. Although she does email, FWIW.

Some of the stamps I bought have fruits and veggies on them. Hey...why not?

We use Stamps.com to print stamps at home. You pay for the convenience. I got tired of going to the Post office to find the touchscreen kiosks were not working and the line was out the door. Not worth my time to just buy some stamps.

Interesting. Do you use a special type of paper in your printer for those? I'm unfamiliar with the process. Thanks!

Our mail carrier has them in her car. As long as you use the postal order envelope, she will leave stamps in the proper count of a sheet or roll. Have to use cash and there is no change given...just leave it in the mailbox.

I like using the USPS website because you can pick and choose which ones to get.

I have some from my last order...Star Trek.....Hot Wheels......you get the picture.

For me stamps are more than just postage. They are art.

We use a color laser printer. They have different types of sheets for different printers. You can also buy a thermal printer, probably the best, but laser has worked fine for us.

Have done that as well. Or I've also used the self-service kiosk in the post office lobby. A couple local post-offices have lobbies that are accessible 24 hours a day (I presume because of the postal boxes), so there's never a line, so to speak. Heck, even when there's a line out the door during normal hours, the kiosk is invariably open.

+1 on the kiosk. never a line, always open. Rarely if ever down/unusable.

Buying them online would be neat but it chaps my azzlips either paying a 'convenience fee' or paying for shipping. Especially since anything outgoing mail, I will only do at a post office so I'm there anyways.
