SpaceX launch
Numero 10, about 20 minutes away.
I give it a about 50;50 odds of sticking the landing. |
I'll take those odds.

21 minutes https://youtu.be/_jWbqhP5eJI
I watched the last one when it was coming down, then the feed cut out when the engines didn’t light. They are doing pretty good at getting some of them back. |
If only I could buy stock in this company.

This is what you call real rocket science.
|
Direct from SpaceX if you want to avoid listening to that annoying dude.

Abort
Better luck next time. |
There's been a pause in the festivities. Might go again in a couple hours.
|
What, didn't they the pointy end up and flamey end down?
|
Chat is saying a faulty sensor tripped the auto-abort.

Listening to the random commentary and blather, one of the guys says it looks like one of the landing legs didn't make it all the way extended. They were already planned for a redesign anyway, but it's too bad they couldn't get the fire tamped down enough to save and inspect it.
|
yeah it was leaning badly but the landing worked.

Every time I see one of those things, it looks like a grain silo with wings. It looks like something that a farmer knocked up in the barn over a long winter.
Just doesn't look like a rocket... |
