You figure out how to brand "Nick's Bar and Grill" in those leather coasters and I'll take 6! Just let me know what I owe ya!

That leather coaster looks fantastic. I have a hell of a time with coasters around here. Glass ones stick to the bottom of the glass. Cork is OK, but that leather - wow. How do you do the stitching?

Thank you! This one sticks a bit too (surface tension of condensation and vacuum are strong forces). The stitching is called a saddle stitch. After bonding the 2 pieces together, I punched it using a stitching chisel (collar used a pricking iron). Then hand stitched with two needles.

lost job in march 2020. finally found another job feb 2021. lost a ton of money during that time. but got diabetes numbers down by riding my bike and had a lot of fun doing that. spent every day with my dogs. played a ton of guitar. stayed away from alcohol abuse. got new furnace and roof replaced finally - had this scheduled and financed anyway so doesn’t really count i guess. smoked a lot of ribs and did a lot of contemplating my life. drove the 911 more than i ever have....basically i tried to make the most of the time and just enjoy the peacefulness of being home rather than arguing in some courthouse about crap that means nothing to me

Been shaking the webs off my MC riding. Social distancing and all, I do it for the betterment of my community!

Got shut down from work almost a year ago. Did some development work and was forced into holidays, 4 months. Have been working/teaching online since september and though I don't really like it I am happy to still be getting a paycheque.
I did build a small food storage room and a new space for a refrigerator in the basement. Also replaced the last section of fence that was here when I bought the house.
Some other little projects but just trying to stay (somewhat) sane.

1. I rode my bicycle 3400 miles or so. ( nervous energy )

2. Read bunch of books. (Remembered how great reading is)

3. Sailed a bit, solo, (great socially distanced activity)

4. FINISHED finally wrenching on my Porsche suspension rebuild and
the associated while you are in there details, tune -up oil change etc.
( Took Years ! / long story/ deserves a separate thread maybe...)

5. Brought it to a mechanic
( never its never even been to a mechanic really only once or twice before)
He did a corner balance and alignment. Also a valve adjustment
and a bunch of other little things

6. Drove my Porsche!

#'s 1-6 turned my frown upside down, especially # 6 !!
...& it's been a hard year otherwise.

Now, that's a fence! Nice job!

Not much has changed, other then having to wear a Halloween mask when I go to buy things.

Been going to work everyday as usual. Did some flooring in my house, added cabinets to garage, took my first real vacation in years, and got engaged.

Things will change in the future, when everyone working from home gets their jobs outsourced to a 3rd world country, and taxes skyrocket to pay for our sock-puppet PM's reckless spending.
