Computer help?; strange keyboard issue
 

Typing this and everything is fine but when I enter a site password every key stroke gets doubled. 123 becomes 112233. WTF?

I've checked settings but don't know what to look for. I've cleaned the board but as I said it's typing this. Very wierd.

I've never had this problem, but IF I did I would start by rebooting the computer. If that didn't work I'd do it again but unplug the keyboard before restarting. Let it start without a keyboard and plug it in when it 'sees' there isn't a keyboard present.

I'm not an expert, just a DIY'er that fools around a lot with computers, at least I used to. Not so much any more.

Put another keyboard in. Test first with a borrowed one.

I wonder if auto-fill, auto-correct, remember this password has lost its marbles. You could try switching this off.
