   My mother passed away a while back, going thru her things we found some old newspapers. These were from the Hawaiian newspaper, dated July 1945.

Well you can certainly add a few zeros to those prices now. In '45 you had to take a boat to get there and the Japanese had just attacked the place 4 years prior.... but we did kick their butts for that
