2007 Moto Guzzi California Vintage - Davie, FL

Have been jonsing for a Guzzi for some time. Don’t ask me why...I won’t have an intelligent answer.

There’s an 07 California in Davie, FL (near Ft. Lauderdale) at a Honda dealership. Price seems ok and the sales guy says it’s a one owner clean bike. The problem is shipping to N. GA will cost about 20% of what it’s worth. Not out of the question but would prefer to have an independent eye on the thing before buying. Really just want to know that there’s no evidence of a tip over (scratched clutch or brake lever, foot pegs, etc) or any obvious paint flaws, dents...Hearing it start and run, etc.

Anyone in or near Davie, FL that might be willing to have a look?

Thanks!

I'd think you could call them and have the salesdood use facetime or zoom or something to show you the bike.

It isn't a perfect substitution, but you can tell him to move the camera or change an angle or something.

No help on the inspection, but I did have a Guzzi, a 2v Grisio. I enjoyed it. Never could quite figure out what the bike was supposed to be, but didn't matter, I still liked it. Lots of big V twin low end torque, made a nice sound. Was actually a very reliable bike as well, which I did not expect. Not the most flickable bike in the world.....

Yep, FaceTime is plan B. Thanks.

HD...agree, the R nine T fills that need. This would be for occasional two-up or for a relaxing country road putt every so often. No canyon carving for this one.

I ride with a guy that has one. The final drive leaks oi onto the rear tire/wheel (dangerous)....The early fuel injection is not the greatest. Power is, "not to modern standards".......

He's been trying to sell it for 3 years w/o luck.......YMMV
