I bought that same one, alone, because I already had the charger and a couple batteries.
It was only a week ago, so I haven't used it yet. But I do have the Bauer reg drill, inflator, work light, chain saw and a couple 3 amp batteries.
All work great. They offer along with 1.5 amp battery...a 3 amp and 5 amp. battery.
You will want one of the larger batteries for a second one.

Edit: Forgot, I also have the 5" orbital sander. Really nice to be cordless. The thing will go hours on the 3 amp battery.

Have had one six months now (Impact driver).

It's awesome. I mean, it ain't a Milwaukee but for the incremental price over HF's last version of impact driver it's rocks.

I didn't mind their cheaper version, it just broke when I dropped it.

I bought the Bauer mini "leaf" blower too. (Edit: it don't last long on the little battery)

I would vote for Ryobi as the best 'tier 2' battery tools. They are excellent value, they have hundreds of battery products, and they are often on sale.

I was going to remark that the drill and battery configuration looks similar to my Porter Cable drill and then read "Compare to PORTER CABLE PCC621LB at $129.00. Save $64.01".

I'm pretty sure it's a rebranded PC which has worked flawlessly for me.

I have a Bauer electric impact and it has so far been great. Plenty of torque and seems well built.

I've had bad luck with the Ryobi batteries. My originals slowly wouldn't hold their charge. Bought new replacements...they were almost as bad as the originals. Asked at HD about it and was told I needed the new lithium ones...and a new $75 charger.
So, I thought I would start over with something else. So far, the Bauer batteries are far better.

Same here. My DeWalt seems to be doing better too. I always thought that the batteries all came from the same source.

The Ryobi lithiums are good. I left one in Florida 2 years, and it still worked when I went back. The older Ryobi batteries (nicads) sucked, but so did the dewalts and makitas.

My plumber likes the bauer stuff, but I had problems with a 1/4" impact driver.

One thing I noticed immediately between my new Bauer and older Ryobi..
When turning the chuck to change drills...on the Ryobi, you need both hands to twist and turn.
On the Bauer....just one. Sounds trivial, but it is a nice feature.
(Maybe more brands have that...I don't know)

Can you tighten the chuck with one hand once the drill is in?

There have been a lot of issues with the Ryobi Lithiums. Myself, I had 3 go bad that were less than a year to 2 yrs old. They sent me back free replacements, but still no excuse to go bad that fast. I have dewalt Nicads that are 10 yrs old and still kicking.

On the Ryobi?...no...have to grip the lower half of the chuck.
On the Bauer...the lower half auto-locks so that you don't need to hang on to it.

I vote Makita LXT- much, much wider tool selection in 18V. I got the driver, drill and LXT light. Gonna do the 1/2 impact next.

^^^ Does the Makita have a battery chainsaw, work light, radio, tire inflator, vacuum, blower??
Plus all the shop tools...
Bauer does.
I think they also have a weed whacker and a drain opener that work with their batteries. 5 amp batteries available.

Makita 18V LXT Selection

Yes, and a lot more- everything except that little vacuum. Frankly I've never been impressed with those designs. There are three different levels of heat with the 1/2 impact- 1080 FT lbs. of breakaway on the big one.
