You can even get a fancy mount to hold it in place. No residue, and puts out most fires from what I saw.

Jay Leno on his Garage Youtube show did a demonstration. I bought one.

I have them everywhere, they put out for much longer that a traditional fire extinguisher.

I am a volunteer firefighter. I have used one on a car fire and was not impressed.

Can you explain why you weren't impressed ? I am sure many would like to know myself included .

Seems gimicky to me. I get fire extinguisher training every year at work and I can't see that putting out the same gasoline fire that we put out with a 20 lb extinguisher.

KNS 03-19-2021 06:33 AM

^^ Possibly not but few people carry a 20 lb extinguisher in their car.

No experience. I thought the Halon extinguishers were banned but they're still F$.
Class B & C only.

Interesting mechanism. Apparently they contain Potassium Nitrate which gets reduced to Potassium Carbonate by the fire. I wonder how it produces aerosolized KNO3?

Yes, I would. On paper, these things look like the Cat's Meow. They burn several times longer than a standard dry chemical unit. Dry chemical units are empty in a remarkably short time. These new things burn for something like an entire minute.

No residue. Dry chemical creates a massive clean-up problem. It gets everywhere and turns to concrete.

Fights all major classes of fires.

Never expires.

Looks like a small flare. Quite small and light.

Supe your explanation sounds all positive . Have you ever used one or seen one being used ? While I think the price is a bit high it sure seems like a good product .

I am only going from the info I see on websites. A couple of folks have said they are not impressed, and I really want to hear more about that.

Lets ask Wayne to set one of his rides on fire and get a review....
