Jealous Dogs

I got the feeling the other day that the dog was jealous of all the time being spent on the car -- see below. Anyone else experience a similar vibe?

My baby likes the BMWs, but the Porsches scare her.

Our first lab loved car rides but would jump out of the Cobra as soon as I started it. Our last lab would jump in and as soon as I started it she would lay down. Made it hard to take her for a ride if she is laying across the shifter and your lap. Our beagle knows he is to ride in the back of a car and freaks out in it because there is no back.

I had a dog that would get under the car with me if it was up on jackstands. I think he wanted to help. Another thing is, if you left the door open, he would get in and not get out until he went for a ride. Even if it was just around the block. I miss that guy.

We had a dog growing up that loved to ride in dad's work van. One day dad brought home a 1 tone instead of a 3/4 ton and the poor little guy couldn't make the jump. He would get his front paws and chest in and have the "help me" look on his face. Even if the door happened to be left open to load tools.

Our beagle gets under the car too if I am there. Then he can lick the back of my head when I can't get away and then see what I am doing. He is too much of a stinker to try to help.

(Hard to see the dog in this photo)

Here's the story from when I bought it in 2011.
