It’s funny, we have owned 4Runners since I bought Onewhippedpup’s in 2005, well over 300k. Other than driving it back to Maryland from Kansas, I may have put 5k on it behind the wheel. My wife loves them as her DD. Enjoy! |

Do you want to drive or ride?

one feature i find useful on the 4R is the drop down tail window. comes in handy when sups are mounted on top or bike rack mounted in rear hitch. one feature i hate is the tendency for the front to shovel and steering go wobbly bobbly in a hard brake event. prior i owned the poor mans cayenne, a touareg tdi. fantastic all around. its downfall was maintenance costs. wouldn't recommend owning outside warranty. |

To be fair, the Cayenne does provide nicely for either, and does so quite nicely. It will adapt to your driving needs. It's both Mercedes S-Class-like (when driven as such) and 911-like (when driven as such). Normal driving the suspension is supple, the shift points low rpm, the ride height medium... Once you need to move quickly, all the dynamics maps change. Auto-Beast mode engages. |
