NHL north
Flames are making it interesting now, three in a row. Lots of characters in that team. I'm for sure the only one, but I like both Oilers and Flames.

We do not know how good, or bad, the Leafs are. The quality in the North is sub-par. End of story.
Vancouver and Ottawa are done. Calgary are on life support (Montreal has three games in hand and is four points ahead with 13 games remaining), Montreal is schizophrenic, Winnipeg don't show up half the time...Edmonton can be great, or McDavid and LD gets shut down and they lose. I hope Calgary makes it close, but neither team looks good enough to challenge for the North title. I was optimistic when the season started, I've seen enough of this experiment. Bring on Tampa and Colorado during the regular season please.

I'm not sure where most players are in the vaccination process, but what Vancouver just went through would knock a team out of the playoffs if it happens at the wrong time.
They caught a variant, not 'regular' COVID, and it's far worse, even for athletes in peak shape.

I'm going to retract my statement above. Calgary plays Montreal enough times to make it interesting...fourth place is up for grabs.
