WTF? Seriously WTF?
|
I read that story this morning. Bi-racial's got nothing to do with it. You send your kid off to school and the teacher decides to cut her hair? My dad was a pretty mellow guy, but he would have raised holy hell if if a teacher cut my sister's hair without his or mom's permission.

Looking for a payday....

I can't fathom what would bring any teacher to cut the hair on a child of a student. A bully kid might cut the hair, but that should be handled by the school and the parents.
That teacher needs to be questioned, and unless there was some astonishing reason to cut her hair, fired. And then have her hair shaved off as well. The good news is it just hair, and it will grow back. That teacher should become a ex-teacher. |
Pretty sure that is assault and battery in many states if not all

A Nun tried to beat my bare arse as a kid, my Dad told her, "I'm the only one who is going to beat his ass, don't ever try it again, beat his knuckles all you want , don' touch his arse"

W, T, and F are the newest roman numerals added to be able to count the incidents these days.

Absolutely nuts. |
Having said that though, what idiot thinks this is about race, or that her race is worth mentioning over and over in the article? Disgusting.

In a similar vein, a local gay couple was claiming harassment and hate because they were frequently ticketed and complained about for parking a large truck in the wrong spots. Still trying to understand the gay play. Break the rules and you pay.

Looks to me like kids were being kids and cutting her hair because it was outside the norm. Looks sort of like a blond afro.
http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1619143497.jpg Seems possible the teacher didn't know the parents had it cut in an asymmetric style and was trying to even it out in a well meaning, but poor judgement kind of way. I'd be curious to hear the logic before jumping to conclusions. I wouldn't be surprised of the parents' outrage is becoming unnecessary trauma for the little girl. I'd be curious how she took it. Very possible she's better off out of that school. |

Great hair on that kid - previous to the cut. Might have been a bit of jealousy.
Teahers... I remember as a little boy Mr Allwood, teacher at Solway Primary school, was always concerned we had not dried between our toes and would kneel in front of us naked little boys and check our toes. |
Yeah, I want to hear the reason too.

Nothing to do with race, everything to do with school employees who should get fired. Except they are union and probably damn near impossible to fire. A good friend of mine is a principal, he said on average it takes three years to fire a bad teacher unless they do something outrageous that’s an explicit fireable offense.

Relax fellas. It’s a click-bait piece from MSN that likely doesn’t include the entire story. As stated above, race is mentioned several times in a story unrelated to race. Welcome to the new America. You’ve taken the bait.

EDIT: I was able to find this article below. Feb. 23, 2019 When hair breaks rules: Some black children are getting in trouble for natural hairstyles In the past, "African-Americans often conformed through haircuts, wigs and relaxers," one lawyer said. "Now, more of us are choosing not to conform." https://www.nbcnews.com/news/nbcblk/when-hair-breaks-rules-some-black-children-are-getting-trouble-n973346 Quote:

so it didn't happen eh, chocolate?

Not conforming to rules at a private school is way different than a teacher cutting the hair of a kid without parent permission. My kids go to a Catholic school that has guidelines that apply to everybody with regards to appearance including hair, he has white friends that have been sent home for a haircut because they don’t comply with their rules. Sorry but that’s equality, you can’t have rules that apply to some races but not others. Claiming an “ethnic” hair style is race baiting BS. So is a mullet an ethnic hair style for white guys?:D

They would have done the same where/when I went to school...if they felt they could help a child with a botched hair cut from another kid. |

The daughter asked for her hair to be cut by a fellow student, and then later by a librarian?

I would be interested in knowing the age of the teacher. Sadly in my experience young adults of today aren't up to standard, they are immature for their age. Last week I was having a conversation with a friend of mine who is a local prosecutor. We were cleaning his wave runners in order to put them up for sale. Our kids are the same age 20. While cleaning the I asked doesn't your son want to ride these? He replied no this is real and would require going outside, everything he does is virtual. Like me he and his son's mother are separated. His son was raised primarily by his mother a school teacher. He was the other weekend dad. I on the other hand fought the system and received fifty/fifty time, eventually obtaining custodial parent status. While his son sat in front of a computer screen most days my daughter was with me cooking, riding horses, surfing, skiing, boating, travelling, etc. Doing real life things at least fifty percent of the time being challenged and taught to think and work through issues. This brings me to an incident my friend had in court and explained during this conversation. It was a traffic accident. A young man around the same age as our kids was involved in a minor accident in which he was at fault. There was body cam of the kid freaking out and had to be restrained because his phone stopped working and he couldn't reach his brother to ask what to do? He was enraged that his phone had stopped working. This young man had no ability to think or work through a real life issue. I think the teacher may fall into the same category as my friends son and the boy in the traffic stop. They lack critical thinking skills. |
I don’t care about the circumstance, if you are a teacher or school employee and you cut the hair of a child without the explicit permission of the parent you are a moron and shouldn’t work there anymore.
