Concrete Driveway Repair Question
Thought I'd check in with the brain trust as I figure someone as come across this before.
Noticed a gap between the concrete sections in the driveway. Doesn't appear that one part has "dropped" yet but was thinking I should address to prevent more water from seeping through the gap. See pics below. First one shows the length of the gap while the second pic shows the width of the gap to be between 1/8 and 1/4 of an inch. Any reason I couldn't / shouldn't go buy a tube of concrete repair and use my caulk gun to apply a bead into the gap? TIA ![]()

Get some foam backer rod, and some sealant (Sika, etc)
pack the baker rod in the crack... try to get a consistent depth, (not to deep) then fill with sealant.. If you happen to have an angle grinder, and diamond blade, you could clean p the crack and do a first class repair..

The straight gap? That's a control joint, concrete expands and contracts, that helps prevent cracks in unwanted areas.
Caulking would be appropriate, if the gap was larger you push in a foam backer rod and then caulk over it.
