I have been watching LFDH for several years and am very impressed by the guests and how well his band adapts. One hell of a talent.

Bonus!!! Watched the Joe Walsh vid and the option to watch Leno in a GT3 appeared. Had to kill a half hour. Good thing that I don't work anymore.

Too many good songs to count. Tight band with a great drummer

LFDH is a great show...been watching from the beginning. In an interview w/Dan Rather, Daryl once said that the group doesn't rehearse with the guest musicians...they just go out and do it live (like the title says). He also said that they don't do multiple takes of the songs either. Seems hard to believe that they can be so polished without going over the material at least a few times before the cameras roll. Maybe the band rehearses the set list before the guest musician arrives, so they're already familiar with the tunes they're gonna do.

Daryl Hall has other interests too. He did a series on the DIY Network called Daryl's Restoration Over-Hall, where he restores an 18th century Connecticut farm cottage. Check it out if you're interested in that sort of stuff: https://www.diynetwork.com/shows/daryls-restoration-over-hall/videos

I have had a great life, happily so. I don't envy anyone but musicians like those on DH give me pause. I never had the skill, still...the pocket. Imagine.

I have watched a lot of them. Time well spent.

Daryl's house used to be the the Town Crier, where I saw many shows, often sponsored by a Bronx NY college radio station, WFUV. Alt/indie/classic music...

If you can't tune in, I recommend their stream...

WFUV

Is that G.E. Smith on guitar? I recall he lead the house band on SNL back then..?

Yeah, that is GE Smith. He was in their band for a number of years. He was the music director for Saturday Night Live and had that gig for a long time. He’s in a lot of videos on YouTube, talking about those days. Well worth a watch when you get time.

He was a fantastic guy, I miss him dearly.
