At first I laughed. But you may be on to something. Many people after too many beers, think pool looks easy. So, they pick up a cue and discover they don't have a clue. They quit playing and then begin to denigrate those who do enjoy the game. This makes them somehow feel superior. It's a difficult game to get good at. A game with as many layers as an onion. As Joe Rogan, channeling pool great Earl Strickland said: "Pool is a beautiful game played by ugly people."

In it's own way, there is a beauty to it...especially at the higher levels. Every bit as beautiful as an Unser cutting a near perfect lap at Indy.

Me? Strictly a recreational banger, very low on the pool talent scale. For me, only fun..recreation.
