Old school Eclipse, I like it! I fondly remember wandering the local car stereo store back in the day looking at the high end Eclipse and Alpine (when they were good) head units that I couldn’t afford.

I have an eBay search sent to me every day for Eclipse head units. I have to 2 copper chassis units with 8V preouts and no built in amps so the ADS or whatever can shine brightest. They are proper SQ head units. They also look reasonably good in an 80s 911.

Tubes man...

All these new solid state electronics are crap by comparison. Tube amps are the way to go. Plus tube amps can put you into the 5-figure range. And everyone knows that 5 is better than 4.

I am very happy with the sound from my Alpine 9887 HU.
