Seems like a tremendous amount of car.......

New Ford Mustang Shelby GT350 Shames Sports Cars on Ignition (W/Video)

Is there a realistic chance to buy one of these?

Why not? They're only priced just shy of $50k.

Gotta say, pretty much anyone with a clue disagrees with you. Here's a quick review from Car & Driver if you want to open your eyes: Ford Mustang Shelby GT350 Reviews - Ford Mustang Shelby GT350 Price, Photos, and Specs - Car and Driver

Why would anyone want to sell a Porsche and then buy a Mustang?

Oh good heavens that flat plane crank just GETS IT!

This is a pretty serious car for the dough. Definitely a factory badazz!

Seen the upmarket all accessorized Shelby running at big track Willow Springs
Uh.... it is REALLY fast , sounds insanely good, and went around the track at a ridiculous lap time ( 1:27's right out of the box)

OOF

They are not "real Shelbys" anymore since they are not made in Las Vegas. Just a sticker on a Detroit car that costs extra. Still a heck of a car for the money.

They are pretty cool in person, the sound they make is rather hypnotic (even at idle).

Thread with pictures.

Shelby American GT EcoBoost: 25 More Ponies for $24,000 (Plus $26,200 for the Mustang)

526HP is low considering the Hellcat is at 707hp. And at the same price for either one.
Don't forget the Shelby EcoBooost!

And for just 50k, you get 42 Shelby markings on the entire car to let you know what you have. The 1968 Shelby had 1. Got to love those marketing guys at ford.

And what is Jack Olsen's fastest time around Willow on race rubber? Granted, the Mustang 350GTR runs Michelins street legal tires designed especially for Ford, but...we are talking GT3 competition here for much less.

With all that said, I look at cars differently these days. Into an area the magazine tests too often ignore. That is, a 500 miles test. Can one drive this car in a safe yet rapid manner, carrying both passenger and driver and still allow them to enjoy the evening once the destination is reached?

Maybe the 350 GTR would pass that test, but I'd think you'd better order the optional air and stereo.

But what do I know? I'm just an old guy who parks an old green Mustang behind a pool hall.

That car really is a cool car. I've loved the sound of these Mustangs for the last few years. The Ford guys got it right.i would love to have one.
