Have had a Colt King Cobra 357 for many years. It's the best all around pistol I've had out of a bunch
Shoots straight, has never misfired, really accurate

More information on the grips, please. I don’t have huge hands, but they’re good sized. I found shooting my 38 special was difficult due to how small it was.

How’s the 357 spoon food supply?

I have the factory rubber grips on mine and actually like them. Most of the wooden grips look nice but I find them to be chunky or slippery. I have checkered wooden grips with finger grooves on the front side of my Colt and do like those, but still find them to be a little big.

Search on Higgin's posts about grips ... lots of options. Both of the wooden S&W grips below came with the spoon. I love the smooth ones on the M629, but when I used to shoot the M27 more, I had rubber Pachmayrs on it ... made it more KC friendly :)

Another 686 fan here. Bought this for my Son years ago, S/N AA**..., pre-dash, very clean. He is away being a Naval Officer so I am keeping it safe. It's my bed side piece, loaded with full bore self defense rounds, and is the most reliable & accurate hand appliance we own.

That said I would be happy to have a Colt in the house too! Fantastic bit of hardware both.

Well, I ordered it and received an email confirming the purchase. I’m out of town or I’d go to the store to see if it’s there, look at grips and check on ammo.

If it’s not what I want or comfortable with it, I’ll refuse it I suppose.

Nice! That’s the style I’m thinking of.
