Would you build a custom one-off dream car? Now's your chance!

If you've ever wanted to build your own, but not as craft as other enthusiasts? No problem!

Quote:

Customers will be integrated into a team of Porsche designers and engineers to go through the process of building their dream car.
  • Porsche Classic will now take customer requests for one-off dream cars and build them as part of its Sonderwunsch program.
  • Requests need to be technically feasible, though and can include exterior and interior customization as well as suspension and powertrain upgrades.
  • Porsche will start this year with three to five customer builds.

They'll do all this, albeit with restrictions of course. They will not do any limited-production vehicles like converting a Cayman into a Boxster Spyder or copy other brand vehicles. What you can expect from this is taking a 997 911 GT2 RS painted in Oak Green Metallic with Cognac leather interior. They also won't do crazy out-of-the-box ideas, they have to be feasible as stated above, "but Porsche says things like a water-cooled 930 could be possible (if someone wishes to do that)."

More details can be found here.

I guess they saw Ferrari printing money with their one offs.

Wonder how much to restore my rusty old 356 and how "good" it would be afterwards?

For that matter, could they build a new 356?

If any of y'all win the powerball and are feeling generous, send me a PM :)

I saw thread title and said to myself, "Yes!! Finally I can build my FF5 Cobra with a 20B swapped in it tuned to about 550HP would be nice"

Then I read through and saw it was Porsche only.

sadness... I have sadness...

Neato, but I'm not sure the majority here on Pelican are the intended market. This post might get better traction over on F-chat. Or at least Rennlist. Is 6-Speed Online still a thing?

I WOULD LIKE A 550S

maybe a 2.0 4 cam 4
or a small 6
wonder if an 8 would fit

And to save them the trouble of making it out of aluminium, they could save time and trouble by making it out of carbon fibre.

Porsche starts creating R Gruppe cars and Singer look-alike. Go figure.

So can they build me a “Ruf like” 993, and what would Alois say?

911boost 05-13-2021 10:45 AM

Yellowbird for me please.

My small iron block already has a rear weight bias. If you ever tracked the thing you would want a HANS just for the turn-in on it!

ckissick 05-13-2021 11:52 AM

I would have build this, but with about triple the 40 HP.

Some billionaire needs to commission the 919 Street.

rusnak 05-13-2021 10:27 PM

I wonder if they'll turn a rear-ended 993 into a GT-1. Road-legal, of course.
